The indispensable socket pocket

The disposable socket pocket

The socket pocket is one of the most used pastry utensils. It's ideal for filling your little silicone molds without smudging. It's even the essential utensil, if you want to impress your friends by creating decorations like a pro. There are "comfort plus" disposable pastry pockets. They are made in France.

Purchased in batches, they are inexpensive. Stored in a vending machine, they take up little space in a closet. Using a disposable socket pocket saves time when cleaning equipment. This sterile pastry bag is more hygienic than a reusable pouch that could be poorly washed.

Its grip is easy even if you have fat hands, it does not slip. Its opening is wide to ensure a convenient filling. The socket pocket is generous: it is 46 cm long. It is solid, since it is made in a film of more than 75 microns. Its interior coating is very smooth, which ensures a good glide to your preparation: there is no loss of food.

The washable socket pocket

If you are resolutely opposed to disposable products, for the sake of ecology, there are also reusable pastry pockets, made of nylon. These pockets offer excellent value for money.

They are purchased independently of the shell casings, which are sold by unit or batch. The tips are adjustable. You'll find pockets of different sizes, depending on how you want to use them: they come in several lengths, 25 to 50 cm long. The smaller ones are more manageable, but they are only suitable for small amounts.

This socket pocket is very flexible and, of course, waterproof: it is made of welded nylon. Smart accessories exist: you can use a socket clamp to keep the filling end of the pocket closed.
