JAPANESE SANTOKU GLOBAL SAI - 19 CM LAME

New Global : Japanese Sai Knife

The new range of Global Sai knives was designed by Komin Yamada, the Global knife designer whose success has continued for 30 years. This new series reflects the evolution of the world of cutlery and world cuisine.

So the Sai range presents 3 new exceptional features:

  • The elegance of the shape, with the 7 points reminiscent of the 7 virtues of the Samurai and the ergonomics of the handle, in order to bring comfort and optimal safety
  • The blades are made of stainless steel CROMOVA 18 soaked 3 folds consisting of a central core of significant hardness to guarantee a rigid blade, surrounded by 2 layers of softer, corrosion-resistant stainless steel. The outer edges of the blade are made from the same steel as the handle making the whole one even stronger.
  • The individually hammered finish is not only elegant, but it is designed in such a way that the small hollows create air pockets allowing the blade to pass through the sliced food without sticking.

Knife maintenance advice Global :

  • We recommend cleaning knives GLOBAL by hand with a dishwashing liquid and hot water. Rinse with clear water and wipe with a cloth.
  • Do not put knives GLOBAL in the dishwasher.
  • Sharpening can be done with the universal manual sharpener,specially designed to care for your Japanese knives or the sharpening stone Global for perfect accuracy.
  • The angle of sharpening is usually 15 to 17 degrees.
